Tasty Taters!

Good afternoon friends!  We had quite an exciting day yesterday in the Philadelphia/New Jersey area with the residual effects of the earthquake they had in Virginia.  When you're in a high rise in the middle of center city Philadelphia, there really isn't anywhere to run so I'm glad it was just a little shaker here for us!

Today I just HAVE to share an absolute miracle for mashed potato lovers - like me!  I LOVE LOVE LOVE homemade mashed potatoes (LOVE).  I've tried all the others but nothing comes close to homemade.  Until now.  Introducing Idahoan mashies!

These are the ones I tried.  Un.be.lievable!  I didn't even need to add anything to "doctor" it up.  AND...Ready for more good news?  They were only 110 calories, 3 g of fat per 1/2 cup serving!

It gets better.  They are super simple to make.  I had to keep re-reading the instructions because I thought I was missing something.  I did them in the microwave according to the directions (add to 2 cups water, stir and nuke for 3 mins. - that's it!) and they came out smooth and creamy and oh, soooo yummy!!!

AND...Ready for more good news?  (I know!  MORE good news - it's crazy!)  They now come in single serve pouches.  You betcha these are going to be on my grocery list this week!

AND - if you can stand it - they also come in different flavors!

No one has been able to make easy mashies that I like unless they were homemade.  I don't know how they did it, I'm just happy they did!

Have you tried these yet?  Let me know what you thought.

  2. yum yum yum... aussies prefer french fries, which they call 'chips' of course, over anything!

you can go out for a drink and order an appetizer of chips, if you want to get your kid a small meal you just get them a bowl of chips, it's ridiculous actually

(i bought 2 new pair of heels from steven madden yesterday as possibilities for the fashion show, will keep you updated, enjoy your friday) glad nothing happened with the earthquake and good luck with Irene!
