I j'adore a margarita - especially in the Summer and/or with Mexican food! I dislike the fact that each refreshing cocktail (on the rocks with extra salt please) can range anywhere from 180 - 700+ calories EACH!!! No es bueno!!
me us, I've found a way around all those pesky calories to make the most DELISH, margarita this side of the Jersey shore and for only 110 calories!!!
This is what you'll need:
1/2 can (6 oz) of your fav lemon-lime diet soda, 1/2 packet of sugar free On the Go packet in lemonade (I used Crystal Light), margarita salt (optional), lime, tequila, ice and a frosty glass.
Or if you're in a hurry - you just need this:
Anyway, just cut a wedge of lime and run it around the rim of your glass then dip in the salt if so desired...
Add the half packet of dry powdered drink mix (more or less depending on how sweet you like it) to the 6 oz. diet soda, add 3 tbsp of tequila (more or less depending on how shnockered you want to get), some ice and mix well!
Pour into frosty glass with lime wedge (for garnish!) and enjoy a delish, low cal margarita!
